Cushions and bears

Well as usual time is flying by and I'm wondering where its gone. In March my God daughter got married and I was asked to make a couple of bears for her and her partner in their Navy uniforms. I decided to get more detail in I would make larger bears and these are 13" tall and great fun to make too. The wedding was great and it was wonderful to see my family x As Spring is upon us Im going to finnish my craft room. Its actually my conservatory but the light is so good in there and its so peaceful that Im going to claim it and put some of my home made items in there to try and inspire me while I work :0) So far I've made 2 cushions, a heart mobile, a crochet throw and I'm about to start work on a crochet clock :0) On the Bear front as usual I've quite a few on the go but none finnished. I've also been trying out some crochet bags and jewelery. Its a slow process as I also work full time but now the summers on its way the days are getting longer and Im hoping to have lots finished and even put some on Folksy :0} Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Hi Well, Im still sorting my craft goodies and keep finding things I'd forgotten about which is giving me loads of new ideas to make x

Found a great storage box in the 99p shop to put all my little bits in one place :0) Think I'll need to buy a couple more tho lol As usual I've started to make lots of things and not finnished anything but Im learing to just go with the flo, there is no point in trying to finnish something if my hearts not in it as it wont be its best. I've joined a local craft group and going to meet them this Friday evening for the first time. It will be so nice to have an evening of cake and craft :0) Im making Hearts at the moment and trying out a new pattern. looking good so far will post pictures later in the week. I thought i'd try to make a hanging of hearts in different pinks and add buttons and bows, to hang in my conservatory. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend Big bearhugs Ali xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Today I have taken down the Christmas decorations and had a good tidy up. Next on my list are my craft supplies, wool, needles patterns etc which have been put in bags and all muddled up so I need to get organised.

I've also had a visit from Kayleigh and Chloe, 2 bears I was commisioned to make as Christmas presents. I hadn't taken their photos so they kindly left their new mummies for a little while to come back and sit for me. I have opened a Folsky shop today! Only took me a year to work up the courage and Im very excited about it. Im going to be selling Wonderland Bears and other items such as jewellery and bags etc, all knitted and crocheted. I've named it Alisons Wonderland. Well I'd better go and get on with the organising.... Love and hugs Ali Wonderland Bears

Started a little blue bear today, I love the thread its got a nice sheen to it. Its very thin and on the first attempt I coul hardly see the stitches! Then I tried my reading glasses from the pound shop and I could see brilliantly. Just need some lighter evenings and im all set xx

A New Year !

So here we are, a brand new year just waiting for us to fill with fun and craft x I have decided not to worry too much about leaving things not quite finnished as this seems to be a common complaint of us crafters. So instead I shall make sure that they are loveingly kept together in a safe place so that when the mood takes me I can finaly finnish them :0) I hope you all had a great New Years Eve. You may be able to tell from the look of this blog that I've been attempting to style it again. Almost got there this time too. Good Morning Im sat having my coffee before work and thought I'd stop and wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year! There is something quite cleansing about the start of a new year isnt there? A chance to put things behind us and begin again. I have a big list of things I want to do this year and i will be realistic enough to know that I probably wont do most of them but Im on to a good start with an email this morning for a craft fair place in March! and I have decided to have a go at tatting this year, it looks so pretty. Why is it so difficult?

Hi, i hope you have all had a great Christmas. i thought I'd quickly update my Blog for the new year as I have a new pic for the header. Sounds simple enough, but I've just spent an hour trying to change my template to a little pic at the top followed by the name Wonderland Bears and a little side header. But I cant do it!! I just get the picture and no header or the header slap in the middle of the picture which is no good at all! Big Sigh :( is this a sign Im getting too old do you think...........
